Review of the Daniel Wellington 0507DW

The founder of Daniel Wellington, Mr. Filip Tysander was so inspired by the classy, timeless fashion style of his British friend Daniel; that he named his watch line after him. The brand’s vision is to complement the popular ‘Preppy’ trend with their unique design philosophy. The Daniel Wellington 0507DW is a watch for ladies introduced under the classic St. Andrew series that combines pretty much all the attributes of the brand’s signature design.

The watch is offered in a case made from solid stainless steel, which has been rose gold ion plated. Ion plating not only serves to give this watch its rich rose gold hue, but to also make the stainless steel stronger and less prone to scratching. The case has a diameter of 36mm, and is ultra thin at only 6mm. This case has a fixed bezel and also features a textured push-pull crown on the right side of the case. The brown leather strap of the watch comes in at 18mm wide, and is secured with a buckle clasp. The strap is interchangeable which makes it possible to wear with various color options like the popular NATO option. The watch has a water resistance of 100 feet or 30 meters.

This ladies watch from Danniel Wellington sports a textured eggshell white dial that looks great with the rose gold color of the case. The dial looks classy with its rose gold toned index hour markers. The luminous hands of the watch are also rose gold toned, providing great contrast for easier readability. There is no seconds hands or any date window, but this complements the overall minimalist feel of the 0507DW. The dial is covered with a scratch resistant mineral crystal, which provides good protection from scratches due to everyday use.
